Trinidad, CO, early June 2021, part 1

Howitzer I think. Heavy military
presence in CO

These are in Central Park.

A nice little archaeology museum on
the campus of Trinidad State College.

This was the outfit for the 50th anniversary
Trinidad Queen competition. It is located in the
A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art.

I did not take any photos inside the A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art. It seems inappropriate to take photos of original art. Arthur R. Mitchell was from Trinidad but went to New York to study art. He made a living during the Great Depression creating the cover art for pulp fiction western magazines. Here's a link to the museum site so you can see some of his work. http://www.armitchellmuseum.com/
Temple Aaron is the oldest temple the
Rocky Mountains.

These are beautiful volunteer flowers in the
garden of the Bloom House. The Bloom House
is part of the Trinidad History Museum, along with
the Boca House but both are currently closed due
to COVID-19 related staff cuts.
