Short trip with friend Shirley to see this sculpture on the campus of Texas A&M Commerce. The artist is Patrick Dougherty but the work required many volunteers to gather the local materials. After all the preparations the work took 3 weeks to construct. It is only meant to last a few years and therefore is entering its last weeks now. So glad Shirley took me to see this. The photos really can't give you the feel of standing in or near this piece of work. It's much taller than it seems here.
