On the way to Rockport turned off to visit Goose Island State Park. It is a bird and birder heaven. There's another sturdy CCC structure still in use. Lots of Winter Texans in residence in their RVs. Had to visit The Big Tree - a 1000-year-old oak tree at the far end of the park. My first view of Aransas Bay.
