Alpine and Marathon, TX June 2021 Part 3

Fort Pena Park - a County/City Park in Marathon.
The water is a natural spring. We could not
figure out why no one was swimming here on this 
hot day. There is an easy place to get in and out.

Fort Pena was a sub-post of Fort Davis. 

Alpine Cowboys, a semi-pro baseball team,
play at this stadium.

Alpine Cowboys vs. Santa Fe Fuego

Since there was no 2020 season the
Cowboys are the reigning champs

Neither team actually stayed in their dugout

Mr. Magoo of Magoo's Place Restaurant. 
Good food and service. Sadly he died of
COVID-19 a few months ago.
