La Veta, CO for a little down time in the mountains. Part 2

Everybody has propane tanks here. This person decided to
use it to add to his yard art.

A creative way to set your property line.

This year's La Veta High graduating class is all female.

We tried to hike on the trail of this former ski resort, but did
not handle the altitude well enough.

Just shy of 10,000 ft.

A legend in my own mind.

This is actually the church that is now the house we stayed in.
The welcome signs are still at the entry to both ends of town.
This is in the neighbor's backyard facing exactly where you see
it when you pull into the driveway of the rental property and look
to the left at their yard.

We saw this on the drive up and made it a point to stop on the
way home for a photo.
