Landed in Walsenburg, Colorado

Turns out the town of Walsenburg, an old coal mine town, doesn't have a lot to offer these days. However, Lathrop State Park is just outside of town. It has two lakes and a nice golf club. We stayed at the historic La Plaza Inn. Also took an afternoon to visit the nearby town of La Veta.

The road that goes on forever.

This state park in CO has a newly paved trail and will
loan you a bicycle with a helmet.

The Walsenburg Golf Club has a respectable restaurant,
mini golf, 9 hole golf course, driving range, and putting green.
