Del Rio Part 1 (where did it go?

Well, I distinctly remember creating this blog before Del Rio Part 2 but cannot find it. Guess it is lost in cyberspace somewhere.


Named for the Seminole Black Indian Scouts who were
assigned to this area. 

Angora Sheep and goats were the
farm "crop" in this area of Texas. 


The artist copied the American Indian rock art painting
of the White Shaman. It's quite beautiful from a variety of
viewpoints as the clouds and sun shift.  





We did not hike all the way down to the canyon as it is only accessible
by guided tour, but this view was pretty enough.

Do spelling errors on "professional" documents make
anyone besides me go crazy? 


Amistad National Recreation Area is huge. Fishing is a big
sport. It is technically considered an extension of  Big Bend
National Park. The visitor center has a lot of good information
on the history of the area along with a video.
