Newton brand wagon purchased in Turkey, TX (the home
of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. in 1917. It belonged
to the Meyer family who had to live in the wagon during
the drought while they picked cotton. 
Goldthwaite has a nice botanical garden and interpretive area.

A wikiup - sample of what the American Indians who
stayed here at times were build. 






First United Methodist Church


Regency Suspension Bride built in 1939. Restored in 1999. 




This is a new addition since our last visit to San Saba. 



We declined to swim as the pond had not been cleaned up
for "the season" just yet. Too much duck crap for my taste. 

A bold fella who wanted some of our lunch. 


The British man who settled in the area
and improved the native pecans to many
varieties. San Saba calls itself The Pecan
Capital of the World.
