The Torch of Friendship. Created in Mexico by
a renowned sculptor named Sebastian and gifted
to the City of San Antonio in recognition of the
long standing connection between Mexico and
the USA. 

The flag is at half staff because of the death of
Barbara Bush, former first lady of the USA.



Bowen's Island, a natural peninsula in the SA River. John Bowen
bought the land and built his family a home. He served as
Postmaster and City Treasurer. 

County Courthouse.

The statue is of San Antonio de Padua for
whom the city is named. 


San Fernando Cathedral. There is a beautiful light show to
music after dark on the facade of this cathedral.

Moses Austin, father of Stephen F.  
Reads: General Robert E Lee lived here in 1857 when a
Lieut-Col of the 2nd US Cavalry.
