Took time to drive to Stonewall, TX and visit the LBJ State and National Parks. There is the Sauer-Beckman Living History Farm as part of the state park and the Texas White House as part of the National Park.

Happy as a fat pig in the sunshine.

Happy Trails to you.

Cream separator
Volunteer Bill.
Kelly says baking in a wood fired oven is a challenge, but
she cooks a meal everyday for the park employees and
farm volunteers.
There were a lot of chickens.

Sam go fetch me some water.

Surrounding the gardens are Shiner Bock bottles planted
top down. The original farm owners did this.

They grow everything on site that they eat except flour and rice.
Kelly said they have a calf too but I did not see her.

The sheep were not interested in a photo op.
Neither were the bison. The two in the back were gettin' frisky
so we moved on to give them some privacy.

Beautiful Lutheran Church nearby.
Continued on the next blog.
