Capulin Volcano

In New Mexico, near Texline and Folsom, is this extinct cinder cone volcano. Different than the volcanoes which produce flows of hot lava, this type builds up pressure until it blows its top high in sky. The hot masses cool and come down as rocks. This is the western edge of The Great Plains.
